1 person dead after traffic accident in Superior Sunday

SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) – A Superior man died following a crash in Superior Sunday night.

According to the Police Department, on Sunday around 10 p.m., authorities responded to the area of ​​Highway 105 and Logan Avenue in reference to a single-vehicle rollover.

Both passengers were ejected from the vehicle.

The driver, a 25-year-old man from Superior, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The passenger, a 24-year-old man from Oliver, Wisconsin, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Authorities believe excessive speed and alcohol contributed to the crash.

The investigation into the crash continues pending toxicology reports.
