A passenger died after jumping off the world’s largest cruise ship leaving Florida

A passenger died after jumping overboard from the world’s largest cruise ship as it departed Florida.

According to unofficial information, a male passenger jumped New York Post Office, from a height of 20 decks Icon of the seas after it left a Florida port on Sunday to embark on a seven-day Caribbean cruise, stopping first in Honduras.

The Coast Guard, which said it had no major involvement in the incident beyond helping search for the man, told The Coast Guard. New York Post Office that “the cruise ship dispatched one of its rescue boats, located the man and brought him back on board.”

The coast guard added that the man was “pronounced dead.”

The world’s largest cruise reportedly took place about 500 miles from PortMiami and about 30 to 40 miles north of Santa Lucia, Cuba. Cruise hive.

Royal Caribbean, which operates Icon of the seas along with other groundbreaking large cruise ships, said in a statement that their ship’s crew immediately notified the U.S. Coast Guard and “began a search and rescue operation.”

“Our care team is actively providing support and assistance to the guest’s loved ones during this difficult time,” the carrier added. “Out of concern for the privacy of the guest and his family, we cannot share any additional details.”

The ship, which can accommodate more than 5,000 guests and only made its maiden voyage in January this year, set sail on Saturday, but after Sunday’s incident the voyage was halted and remained in place for about two hours while the search continued, the outlet reported.

According to CruiseMapper tracking data, Icon of the seas is expected to arrive at the port of Costa Maya in Mexico by noon on Tuesday.

The incident occurred more than a month after a similar tragedy on another Royal Caribbean cruise ship Freedom of the seas when a 20-year-old man identified as Levion Parker is believed to have fallen overboard while traveling in the Bahamas.

The cruise line immediately launched a search and rescue mission with the U.S. Coast Guard, but it was suspended after five days because the man could not be found.

However, in recent months, the cruise company has also witnessed several successful rescue operations, such as the rescue of a passenger who fell overboard from Symphony of the seas already in October.

The crew of the ship, which had just left Barcelona at the time, reported that the guest had been successfully brought back on board after falling shortly after leaving port.
