Man dies after vehicle hits Goodyear

PHOENIX — Authorities said a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Goodyear on Monday evening.

Goodyear police said Devin Firth, 25, was taken to a local hospital after the incident but died from his injuries.

The collision occurred in the area of ​​167th Avenue and Canyon Trails Boulevard, near the intersection of Cotton Lane and Yuma Road, around 6 p.m.

Police said Firth was hit by an underage driver who was cooperating with authorities.

Goodyear police said speed may have contributed to the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
