KBS Temporarily Suspends Trotter Singer Kim Ho Joong Amid Hit-and-Run Controversy

KBS has taken action against singer Kim Ho Joong, who was recently arrested on suspicion of being involved in a drunk driving accident, temporarily suspending him from appearing on television shows.

During the TV Appearance Regulation Review Committee held on May 29 KST, KBS decided to impose a temporary suspension on Kim Ho Joong. This decision was made in response to allegations that he tried to cover up the incident by having someone else claim to be the driver after he was involved in a driving accident under the influence of alcohol.

KBS defined “illegal or immoral activities causing social controversy” as a basis for controlling appearances in television programs. As a result, Kim Ho Joong was screened based on these criteria.
