Abbott investigation ‘aimed to humiliate her’, says Blair aide | News

The inquiry into Diane Abbott was “designed to humiliate” her, Tony Blair’s former director of political operations has claimed.

John McTernan, who advised Mr Blair from 2005 to 2007, said whoever was responsible for investigating Mrs Abbott should “hang their head in shame” when he was interviewed Radio Times today (May 29).

Ms Abbott said Labor would ban her from standing in the next general election.
